Atlanta Gas Light is advising customers to be cautious concerning strangers requesting access to their homes or property, particularly during this holiday season. At least one incident has been reported in Dekalb County where one or more individuals posing as utility workers sought access to someone’s home. If anyone claiming to be an Atlanta Gas Light or other utility approaches your property, please ask to see appropriate identification. 
 
Atlanta Gas Light employees and contractors who may need access to your property should always be able to provide identification.
 
Customers should not allow entry to their homes or property to anyone who refuses to show appropriate Atlanta Gas Light identification and should call 9-1-1 to report any suspicious activity.
