Charitable Giving

At Atlanta Gas Light, through charitable giving, we want to grow in a way that enriches the communities we serve. We are committed to being a catalyst for positive change and to participate in social and economic development.

To make the most meaningful impact in our communities, we focus our support on these areas of giving:

  • Energy Assistance:  Energy conservation projects and emergency energy assistance programs that aid low-income senior citizens and households who need managing their natural gas energy consumption.
  • Education: Public secondary schools (K-12); public and private colleges; and universities, with an emphasis in literacy, math and science.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Projects that promote clean air, conservation and green space.
  • Community Enrichment: Programs that promote leadership by women and minorities; arts and culture; and business leadership and/or economic development.

Champions Place
Atlanta Gas Light gifted $10,000 and a natural gas backup generator for a home under construction that will serve a group of Atlanta area physically challenged adults. Champions Place is a first-of-its-kind shared living community and technology incubator for products and services that will help physically challenged young adults lead productive lives and enjoy community.

Georgia Hispanic Chamber

We presented a $15,000 check to the Georgia Hispanic Chamber to assist the chamber's Business Development Center in developing start-up businesses.

March for Babies
We’ve been a proud supporter of the Atlanta March for Babies for more than 15 years! This year, we’ll be walking in the April 22 March for Babies as a gold sponsor.

Disaster Relief
In February 2017, Georgia Power and Atlanta Gas Light presented a $20,000 donation to the Southwest Georgia Red Cross to assist Georgians impacted by severe storms.
