$250,000 donated to advance youth programs, health care resources and community well-being initiatives across the state.
Atlanta – Sept. 17, 2025 – Atlanta Gas Light recently hosted its 10th annual charity golf tournament – an event that brings together purpose, partnerships and the power of community. This year’s program raised an impressive $250,000 to support the critical missions of three Georgia nonprofits: Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Grady Health System and the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club.
For a decade, the event has united participants and volunteers with a shared commitment to fueling access to resources and programs for those who need it the most. Since its inception, Atlanta Gas Light’s charity golf tournament has raised nearly $2 million for nonprofits that help individuals and families thrive across the state.
“We are incredibly proud of the support we have received from our partners, participants and volunteers, who are equally committed to strengthening the communities where we live, work and serve,” said Walt Farrell, president and CEO of Atlanta Gas Light. “Their collective contributions have allowed us to continue enriching our neighborhoods by supporting nonprofits like Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Grady Health System and the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club. The success of these organizations is essential to delivering holistic resources that drive lasting change for all Georgians.”
This year’s donations will fund a wide range of community initiatives – from empowering children through education and after-school programs to providing lifesaving services and high-quality health care.
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, for example, manages more than one million patient visits annually, serving over 450,000 unique patients from all 159 Georgia counties.
“As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of corporate donors like Atlanta Gas Light to ensure we are able to provide the top-notch care to the patients and families across our state and beyond,” said Emily Crowley, development officer of Corporate Partners at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. “Our lifesaving work would not be possible without donors like Atlanta Gas Light.”
The donation provided to Grady Health System will help ensure its patients have access to the health care they need – from its world-renowned Level 1 trauma center – to primary and preventive care offered at one of its neighborhood health centers.
“We are both grateful and honored by the generosity of Atlanta Gas Light and everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s golf tournament. As Grady strives to meet the growing need for health care services in our region, partnerships like these are critical to our ability to fulfill our mission and continue to support Atlanta’s health care ecosystem, its economy, and our community,” added Joselyn Baker, president, Grady Health Foundation.
The Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club, based in Savannah, Georgia, helps 98% of its members graduate on time with a plan for the future. About 90% of those students go on to pursue higher education, enter the workforce or join the military.
“We want to give our students a strong start to their futures. We are also working with our teens to establish a workforce readiness development program, where they can secure jobs and opportunities with great companies like Atlanta Gas Light,” said Mark Lindsay, CEO, Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club.
Lindsay added that the Atlanta Gas Light donation enables the Club to continue offering their successful programs to Savannah area children. “Corporate partnerships like Atlanta Gas Light mean everything to this organization. That’s how we are able to hire tutors and STEM instructors and get the supplies we need.”
