The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps eligible customers pay their bill through grants that don’t need to be repaid. Open enrollment begins first working day in December for senior citizens (65 and older) and the first working day in January for all other eligible residents. Call 404-657-3427 or 404-657-3426.
Customers 65 years of age or older who have total annual combined household income of 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines ($31,300) or less, may qualify for a monthly discount of up to $14 off their base charge. The SCANA Energy Regulated Division provides service to low-income households that have been unable to obtain or maintain service from another marketer. Qualifying consumers can purchase their natural gas at a rate regulated by the Georgia Public Service Commission.
Seniors 60 and older may qualify for a gas furnace or water heater repair from HopeWorks.
