Georgia Public Service Commission approves Atlanta Gas Light's annual GRAM filing

ATLANTA – December 12, 2024 – Today, Atlanta Gas Light received approval from the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) for its 2025 Georgia Rate Adjustment Mechanism (GRAM) filing. The Commission’s vote approves the company’s request for a $71.9 million base rate adjustment for customers.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2025, the typical residential customer will see a total bill increase of $2.99 a month or an approximately 4.9% increase. This is consistent with the Integrated Capacity Development Plan (i CDP) and GRAM revenue requirement stipulations which strengthen our team's ability to maintain and enhance our infrastructure as we continue to provide natural gas safely and reliably to our customers for decades to come. These critical investments will help to ensure the resilience and dependability of our system that our families and businesses rely on, especially on the coldest days of the year.

The GRAM filing is an annual procedure that incrementally adjusts customer rates up or down based on a comprehensive regulatory review.

“We understand the significance of any rate increase for our customers, especially in today’s economic environment, and we don’t take these requests lightly” said Pedro Cherry, president and CEO of Atlanta Gas Light. “At Atlanta Gas Light, we keep our customers at the center of everything we do. Our unwavering commitment to delivering resilient natural gas service ensures that our customers continue to receive the reliability and quality they depend on – no matter the time of year.”
